About Josie

Hi my name is Josie Waverly.

First I would like to thank you for visiting my website “Josie the Singing Butterfly.”

You know ever since I was a young child I just loved poetry, music, and art. I used to love going to music, art, and English class when I was in school. Although all subjects are important in school those three were my favorite ones. I am sure you have your favorites as well.

I remember one time, when I was about 13 years old, my English teacher assigned us a writing assignment. We had to write a poem about any character we wanted to, BUT that character had to reflect our own life in some way. I knew this was going to be an easy task because I love putting words to a melodic rhyming sound. I wrote about a very unhappy clown who felt he did not fit in. However at the end of the poem he did make new friends and was then wearing a smile because he knew he finally fit in. My teacher was so impressed with it that he kept it and showed it to everyone he could. He even framed it for his classroom. His overly positive response reassured my focus to someday write more stories.

Soon I would find my talent in music and pursued a musical career. Shadowing my writing talent for a while. Although I did write a few songs. You can see more of that at www.josiewaverly.com.

One day I knew I would return to writing and thought what a great idea if I mixed both my musical experiences and adventures with in the life of “Josie the Singing Butterfly.” Thus, she was born!

I am so excited to bring “Josie the Singing Butterfly” to life and look forward to bringing her adventures to you in Volumes 1, 2, 3, and 4.

You will travel along with her as she meets a different animal in every story. Each animal has a problem and Josie helps them. Every story has a life lesson for all of us to learn.

I know you will enjoy this book and please look forward to Volumes 2, 3, and 4 to follow soon.

Thank again for visiting and be sure to write me a message any time you want to.

Thanks again…ever soaring higher!

~Josie
